Returns printer identification and capability information

~HI - Host Identification

Overview

The ~HI command queries the printer for identification information including model, firmware version, print resolution, memory capacity, and installed options. Used for printer discovery and capability detection.

  • Returns printer model and firmware version
  • Reports print resolution in dpi/dpmm
  • Shows installed memory capacity
  • Lists installed options
  • Processed immediately
